123-127 Deansgate connects Spinningfields in Manchester to the city’s historic civic quarter. Marcus Worthington approached the A1S Group to cost 57 fire curtains to EW 60 and 1 fire curtain with enhanced radiation protection to EW 120 for this 85-million-pound development. After careful evaluation of the fire strategy produced by ARUP, we submitted a quotation with the requisite integrity and radiation requirements as well as smoke seals. Ancillary functionality included two stage closing, bespoke control panels with group controls, obstruction warnings, egress switches, access switches and beacons. A1S are in contract with Marcus Worthington and look forward to contributing life safety fire curtains for this impressive new Manchester hub.
